PWA – Outlook Synchronization Problem

Our Project Server have been deployed in production server, all work well, but when users trying to use Outlook Add-in to synchronize the task with Project Server, it always shows error message, “The Project Server URL seems to be invalid”.

We have checked and double checked the PWA URL, it was a valid URL and if we used the URL in Internet Explorer, the PWA shown correct site and didn’t have any problem at all.

Define Project’s Scope Clearly in the Beginning

According to Avneet Mathur in http://www.projectsmart.co.uk 70% of projects fail. 80% of the failed projects were because of lack of project management. And scope creep is one of the main reason why projects failed.

There are several ways that we can use to handle scoping problem, but the most important among them is to clearly define the project’s scope at the beginning. In software house environment I think the term “the beginning” is refer to before making proposal for the customer. Why? Because without detailing every requirement that customer need regarding the software, we cannot correctly estimated project schedule and budget. Display Graphical Indicator on PWA

In Project Server 2007, we can make KPI or dashboard for tasks or projects that we have. I discovered that many web site and blog that explain how to display the graphical indicator on Ms Office Project, just like one that written by Glen Knight here. However, as far as I trying to look for a way to display the graphic indicator on PWA, I couldn’t find it. So, after I explore it myself, I finally successfully make my KPI shown on PWA.

E-Learning Using Adobe Technologies

Many people (especially in my country Indonesia) don’t know that Adobe have products for E-Learning purposes. It does indeed.

I haven’t explore all Adobe softwares that can be used for E-Learning purposes, but here I give you products that I know:

1. Adobe Connect Enterprise (consist of Connect Meeting, Connect Training, and Connect Events), formerly Macromedia Breeze.
